Greetings from Wkrishind (व्कृषिंद).
Congratulations on putting your first step in the world of literature through self-publishing. Your investment of valuable moments of time will pay off after reading the upcoming few lines. So, let's begin with a list of free book publishers.
1) KDP (an amazon company)
4) Google Partner Center
So, these are the best self-publishing companies in the current scenario with hassle-free services. Now, the next step is to categories the above list on the basis of services provided by these publishers and on the basis of the language of a manuscript that you have written by investing your valuable time.
I'm using Amazon as a publisher since 2016 and I have six e-books published on amazon kindle in the current scenario. Initially, I used to publish my books through CreateSpace, which was an amazon publishing company for print books only, and at that time KDP was an e-book publishing company. In 2017, I got the news that CreateSpace is going to be/is being merged with KDP and after few months the news fulfiled its promise. Amazon killed CreateSpace and changed its name as KDP print. I got email notification regarding this change and also a chance to move my books to KDP. As per KDP policy, I was not able to publish my book as a print book because it was written in my mother tongue, "Hindi". So, the most important thing is that KDP does not support Hindi as well as many more languages for print book publishing, unlikely CreateSpace. So, if you are a Hindi writer and you want to publish your book in the print format then you have to contact some local Hindi publishers or like me just stick with KDP and publish your books as an e-book only, if you want to participate in Indian government's green India initiative😁.

Now, its time to take a look at Draft2Digital publishing. Draft2Digital will publish your books on Kobo and Kobo plus, Tolino, Vivlio, OverDrive, Scribd, Apple Books, Barnes&Noble (Do not support Hindi), 24 Symbols, Bibliotheca, Baker & Taylor, Hoopla (Do not support Hindi) as well as on Amazon Kindle (if your books are already published through KDP then you will not be able to publish your books through Draft2Digital on Amazon). You can also use Draft2Digital for publishing your print books on Amazon. But I will recommend using KDP as a separate platform for Amazon.

Just like Draft2Digital, Smashwords will help you to publish your books through Kobo and Kobo plus, Tolino, Vivlio, OverDrive, Scribd, Apple Books, Barnes&Noble (Do not support Hindi), 24 Symbols, Bibliotheca, Baker & Taylor, Hoopla (Do not support Hindi) as well as on Amazon Kindle (if your books are already published through KDP then you will not be able to publish your books through Draft2Digital on Amazon).

You can publish your e-books through Google Partner Center on Google Play Books and Google Play Store and for this first you need to create a google account or simply log in using your previously created account for Gmail or any other Google services. You can distribute your print books through the Google play store if you have a printed copy of your book.

Just like KDP Lulu will also help you to publish your books for free in both formats, e-book as well as print. But I'll highly recommend to go with KDP.
